Sloth Steps Whole & Half Steps Game - Printable

Teach your students half steps and whole steps with this fun identification game!

Students will identify steps on the keyboard (Level 1) or staff (Level 2) and race around the board to see who can reach the sloth nest first -- but beware! There's an ocelot and hawk waiting to scare the sloth back to start!

How to Play Sloth Steps Whole & Half Steps Game GAMEPLAY (2-8 PLAYERS) - Shuffle each deck of cards (Sloth Steps deck level of your choice, Half step deck, Whole step deck) and place in three stacks. - Each player picks a sloth token and places it on one of the start positions. - Students will take turns drawing from the Sloth Steps deck, identifying whether it is a half step or whole step, and picking from the appropriate deck to move on the game board. - If the student reaches the edge of the board, they can continue to the opposite side (e.g. the last spot on the right side continues to the first spot on the left side). - There are 4 bonus cards (algae, 2 moths, poop) where the student gets to pick their move. - Predator: If a student lands on the circle next to the eagle or ocelot, they must return to "start." - The first student to "finish" wins! - Alternate Gameplay: If you need slightly faster gameplay, then a player stops when they reach any edge of the board.
