Our Story
Music Game Club was dreamt up by Rebekah Trevelise, owner of Austin Arts Academy, where she oversees over a dozen instructors and hundreds of students.
Music games are designed by Rebekah Trevelise and her team and tested by the students of Austin Arts Academy.
Our experience as teachers and degrees in music education and design equip us to create games that grab students’ attention while improving their music knowledge.
The Music Game Club Process
When we create a new game for Music Game Club, we consider a few specific elements.
- Music theory concepts our own students need to review
- The easiest, most stream-lined way to review those theory concepts
- How to best communicate and teach the theory concept
- Fun game-play that will be engaging and not intimidating
Our team drafts a new game idea and creates a prototype that the students of Austin Arts Academy test. We fine-tune the game contents and playing suggestions based on the testing period before it goes to the final stage where Emily Darrall oversees the artistic development to give each game our unique Music Game Club touch. This is just the beginning. When a music game lands in your hands, you connect faster with your students and enjoy hours of educational music theory fun.
