Teaching Students How to Compose Music
In this video, I give you some tips for how to help your students compose music with these guided composition worksheets.
You will see how the beginning composition worksheet can be used to students who only know piano keys (or just five notes) but not rhythms, or students who know piano keys and rhythms, and students who know piano keys, rhythms, and a few chords.
I also go through the upper level composition worksheet and how it can be used for students who know just a little note reading and simpler rhythms, students who are confident in note reading and rhythms (Level 2-3 students), and also more advanced students who may still need the structure to compose.
